Update on 15th June Wider Re-Opening8 June 2020 (by admin) |
Dear parents and carers,
It seems I have missed a deadline promised, and for that I am sorry to those affected. In a recent communication notice sent to parents, I did say I would inform parents of Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, by June 5th of any school developments on further re-opening dates.
Here is the update - albeit later than expected for some:
We currently have no additional staff available to begin working on site, as placed in our risk assessment for June 1st re-opening. This is keeping our staffing number at a 60% capacity. School leaders, including governors are using the risk assessments in place, to decide if we have the capacity to open up to a 4th group from 15th June. Currently we have 3 keyworker/vulnerable pupil groups on site.
Our staffing numbers available and room capacity not able to exceed 15 people per room by government recommendations (less in most rooms at our school, due to the 2m social distancing rule being followed), are the two main issues for a wider re-opening.
By Wednesday 10th June we will aim to inform parents, of any possibility of a wider re-opening of the school to more pupil groups from 15th June.
Kind Regards
Mr Dale Bateman
Headteacher
