Updates & Reminders6 September 2020 (by admin) |
Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank you so much for such a wonderful return to School for the children on Friday. Our new drop-off/pick-up system for the start and end of the School day was successful. Let me thank you as parents for following the one-way route and keeping socially distanced whilst walking around the School's premise.
Below is a few updates and reminders to help you prepare for the week ahead:
~ P.E begins this week for all classes. Please ensure your child's P.E kit is in School for Monday 7th September. It will remain at School for the half-term. Plimsolls must be included in their bags for indoor P.E sessions. Most P.E sessions will be taking place outside on the School playground (weather permitting). Children can either use their plimsolls outside as well, or have sneakers for more comfort and durability.
~ Water bottles are essential for the moment, whilst shared water fountains are not permitted. We will send bottles home each day for you to wash.
~ In last week's newsletter, I told you that Year 1 & 2 Free Fruit and Veg scheme was to resume from 7th September. We have been informed that this has been delayed until Thursday 10th September. Therefore, please ensure a healthy snack comes in to School with your child until then. After Thursday the scheme will resume and you can either continue to bring a snack in from home for your child, or they can eat the fruits/veg that we provide for free.
~ From Monday 7th September, for the next two weeks, the School's Reception playground will be having a major refurbish. The project team will be using our staff car-park for access and deliveries. We have all H&S measures in place to keep pupils and staff safe at all times. The project team are very use to working with schools, so they will work closely with us to limit their work during play times, lunchtimes and during drop-off/pick-up times.
~ Apologies for not uploading our School Menus for Friday 4th. They are now on our website for you to look at with your children. When logging into the School's website, click on the Parents & Pupils tab, then on School Meals. We have also included not only the 3 week rolling menu, but the Year 4, 5 & 6 Picnic Menu, for weeks that they are not able to have hot dinners in the School Hall. This week Years 5 & 6 will be eating lunch in their classrooms (no hot dinner available for them).
~ A reminder for the children that are in quarantine for this following week ahead of us, remote learning plans will be sent to you if they have not been already. Please contact the School office on Monday afternoon, if you do not receive any correspondence.

Have a great day, the sun is out.
