Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly, I apologise for sending this end of half-term message out late, but unforeseen circumstances today has meant that a newsletter has just not been possible. I did however, want to get the below information to you, so please read when you can.
Non-Pupil Day: A reminder that School is closed to onsite and remote education access on Monday 22nd February for a scheduled teacher training day. Therefore, home learning and restricted onsite provision will begin on Tuesday 23rd February.
Contact Tracing: If your child has been in School this week for on-site provision, please notify the School via Studybugs, if your child starts to display symptoms in the first 2 days of the half term break. Do not wait until they have a test result. This early notice to School leaders will help if contact tracing could be required. The app will be monitored by myself across this weekend (13th and 14th February).
You only need to contact the school if symptoms began or a positive test result was received within 48 hours of being in school. After this time, use the NHS test and trace service. www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/
In addition, for those who have access to onsite provision during the lockdown, you should contact the school if your child will be absent, in time for the first day of the new half-term. Please send this to: admin@coopersaletheydongarnon.essex.sch.uk but do not expect a response until Monday 22nd February.
Thank you: Thank you to all of our critical workers across the half term for doing what you do for the community. Thank you to all parents and carers who have home schooled. Thank you to family and friends who have been a nominated child care support. Thank you to our staff for being their usual amazing selves - what a team! Thank you to our Governors for supporting the School in so many ways. Thank you to our pupils who have either learnt in bubbles onsite or adapted to home learning and it's restrictions (Please thank them from me - such stars!). Finally, thank you to everyone in our households who have dealt with our moods and emotions that we all have had over this lockdown. I hope the half term break gives you a chance to put the school books down and focus on each other a bit more. This is a definite in the Bateman household - my youngest boy is 6 tomorrow!
