Coopersale & Theydon Garnon C.E. (V.C) Primary School

Dear Parents and Carers, 

Yesterday evening, Year 5 & 6 completed a workshop on our School site with the Loughton Astronomical Society. 

Below are the details, and a link to the website, if you would like your child to join Atrokyds, a group for young astronomers (6 - 14 years) run by some of the LAS members. It is held once a month on the second Friday. 

Please note that the next meeting is tomorrow, and places must be booked in advance.

1. Astrokyds is now back meeting in person from 18:30 until about 20:00 on the second Friday of each month. It is at St Mary's Church Hall on Coppice Row, CM16 7ER (main road between Abridge and the roundabout on Epping New Road)
2. Warm clothes are essential as, COVID air flow apart, we do try to let the Astrokyds do some observing through telescopes if it's clear.
3. Due to LAS Safeguarding Policy, we do require a parent/carer to stay with the child/children.
4. The small charge (£2) we make is solely to cover the cost of hiring the Theydon Bois Church Hall.
