Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope the children have been enjoying bringing home their new library books, as well as any books they purchased at the book fair. To push our love of reading even further, we are now going to be running a whole-school book swap.
All children are encouraged to bring a pre-loved book, that they have finished reading, into school on Monday 28th November. All books will then be collected, ready to be redistributed. All these books will then be laid out and children will get the chance to go and choose a new book in exchange for the one they brought it. Any child in receipt of free school meals, will be given a preloved schoolbook for the swap, if they do not have any of their own to bring in.
If successful, we hope to run the book swap every term to give pupils the opportunity to read a range of material, at no extra cost!
Please note, if you have several pre-loved books that are no longer being read, we will happily take any good condition books you have to put towards the book swap. Our aim is for all children to go home with one book.
