Year 3 and 4 Roman Day - 22nd October10 October 2024 (by admin) |
Dear Parents and Carers (Year 3 and 4),
We are excited to inform you that staff members are enthusiastically preparing for a Roman Day, which will take place on Tuesday, 22nd October. This engaging event is designed to immerse our students in the fascinating world of Ancient Rome through a variety of hands-on activities.
On this special day, the children will partake in a range of activities, including the creation of Roman coins and shields, as well as investigating artefacts that represent this significant historical period. Additionally, we will host an exhilarating Roman dance battle between the classes, encouraging teamwork and creativity.
We invite all students to dress up in Roman attire for the occasion. To promote inclusivity and creativity, we recommend using items from home rather than purchasing new costumes. Old bed sheets or pillowcases can easily be fashioned into togas, and a simple card hat can serve as a suitable headpiece. Should you require any assistance or guidance in preparing your child’s outfit, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Furthermore, we kindly ask that each student brings a cereal box on the day if possible . This will be used in one of our planned activities, and your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
We are looking forward to a memorable day filled with learning and enjoyment. Thank you for your continued support in making this event a success.
Yours sincerely,
Year 3 and 4 Team
