Dear Year 1 Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Year 1! The children have been settling in well to their new year group.
As part of growing their independence, on Fridays the children swap their Library book and swap their reading book that is matched to their phonics sounds. They are also given their new home learning in their yellow books. On Fridays, we will also check reading diaries.
For this reason please ensure your child comes to school on Fridays with the following items inside their school bag:
-Library book
-Book matched to phonics sounds
-Book matched to phonics sounds
-Reading diary
-Completed home learning (yellow book)
