Dear Parent/Carers,
A few short messages that are important for you all to know:
- The school is running on only essential staff on site at the moment, and so we have closed our school office from this morning. Therefore, we recommend that all updates, queries and questions are sent to our office email: admin@coopersaletheydongarnon.essex.sch.uk This email is regularly monitored across the day, and the appropriate person will be made aware of your email and take action. If you call the school phone number, please leave a message. We will check these messages not as often as the email, but it will be monitored across the day. Alternatively, if you do arrive on site, our gate is open and a work mobile number is found at the reception window if you require someone on site urgently... such as collecting your child early if a critical worker.
- I will be sending guidance home today on the following items: The local Authorities stance on critical worker children at school and a debrief of important points raised by the Prime Minister's speech last night on social distancing.
- Finally - well done to any parent who attempted remote learning yesterday. Don't be ashamed if you didn't perform as well as you'd hoped... any effort you make is beneficial to keeping your children's love for learning. Most importantly, be really positive towards any lesson/activity you assist them with - your children will be looking at you for guidance on their approach and attitude towards learning over the coming weeks/months. Don't show them learning as a chore... this is the biggest mistake you can make.
- Just to clarify, our remote learning is on our school website. It is under the tab of CURRICULUM. A link to our website can be found on the school app (School Jotter), in the LINKS tab. To access any hyperlinks from the remote planning, do make sure you download the planning page and don't just try to click into the viewing box of the plans. The download link is under each plan.
